Previously staged at Windsor Castle and last year at St James Palace, former overall winners have included noted US-domiciled collectors Bruce McCaw, and 2014 Pebble Beach Concours “Best in Show” winner, Jon Shirley.

RM Auctions – the Blenheim Ontario and London-based auctioneer returns to its regular venue, the Battersea Park “Evolution” exhibition complex, for its annual sale on Monday 8th. From the Hypersonic flying laboratory, "Kholod" via a very limited production right hand-drive Bentley Continental GT Zagato, to a single owner consigned collection of twelve Ferrari's….there’s definitely something for all budgets amongst the 80+ lots available. With more than twenty-five percent of the entries originating from  Maranello, the auction’s “star” is the 1956 Ferrari 250 Tour de France Berlinetta Competitzione. For those unable to attend “live-streaming” is available here.

Goodwood Revival. Rightfully acknowledged as one of the globe’s foremost historic race meetings, the annual, three-day “Revival” commences, on Friday September 12th. Celebrating its Diamond Jubilee, organisers expect to present approximately thirty Jaguar D-type’s competing in an exclusive race and as many as sixteen Maserati 250F’s, displayed in a pit-lane recreation of the 1954 Italian Grand Prix. With multiple, current and former F1, Moto-GP, Touring and Sports-car drivers and riders competing over the weekend, on both two and four wheels, one of the most eagerly anticipated races is for the Shelby Cup – a celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the first release of the “small-block” V8 engine, incorporating fifty-years of the Ford Mustang. Day two will include the Bonhams auction with several lots consigned from the former Maranello Rosso collection and the Freddie March Spirit of Aviation display. With Summer giving way to Autumn in the UK, in the next couple of weeks, rain is sometimes rarely far away….1998 Indycar Racing League champion, Kenny Brack showed phenomenal car control last year at the wheel of Adrian Newey’s Ford GT40, which is really what the arrival is all about…
