Manufactured between the14th September 1970 and the 6th June 1971, the 1971 Model T100C Trophy 500 represents the culmination of development on the T100C Model being the last of its kind before the TR5T Trophy Trail was introduced in June 1972. Frame number GE25092 T100C was completed on the second to last day of production for its model type (5th June 1971) and is within 50 bikes of the last ever made (GE25135).
For the 1971 Model year, the T100C benefitted from the following upgrades: front and rear direction indicators were added, and Lucas aluminium switch consoles were fitted to the left and right handlebar. Three warning lights were fitted to the chrome headlamp. High beam, oil pressure warning and direction indicator were now included. Stronger connecting rods and side plugs on the rocker boxes (to assist with tappet setting), along with an increased capacity oil tank.
We are proud to offer for sale this very original, matching numbers example of a great end of production run bike. With extensive recent history detailing the authenticity of the bike, and large amount of factory parts purchased to maintain the bike over the last decade.
