Vehicle Overview

The Turin-based Lancia & C. Fabbrica Automobili (now Lancia), has made a wide ranging, highly successful and hugely innovative contribution to the transport industry over the last one hundred and nine years. Production diversity in passenger cars, commercial buses and military vehicles; as well as huge success on the rally stage and the race circuit, highlight the Italian company, as a landmark manufacturer.

From the Tipo 51 of 1908, via the Lambda, Aprilia, Aurelia, Stratos and Delta Integrale – amongst others; they have produced some of the most advanced, best engineered and nowadays, highly collectible cars extant.

As the most successful manufacturer of the modern era in the World Rally Championship, with ten wins between 1974 and 1992, six were gained consecutively between 1987 and 1992, by the peerless Delta HF Integrale.

First presented in June 1993, the second Evolution version of the Delta HF Integrale, featured an updated version of the 2-litre 16-valve turbo engine which produced more power (215bhp), along with a cosmetic and functional facelift, which included:

• new 16” light alloy rims, with ZR 16 tyres

• a body coloured roof moulding to underline the connection between the road and rally car

• solar control windows

• an aluminium fuel cap

• a red painted cylinder head

• standard Recaro seats upholstered in black Alcantara, with diagonal yellow stitching

Only available in LHD and a single colour; the Giallo Ginestra-hued Evolution II weighed 1,300 kg and benefitted from permanent four-wheel-drive, with a 53% rear-wheel bias and “quick” steering.

As confirmed Lancisti - the chassis we are very pleased to offer is one of the very last examples built. Delivered new in Japan, in early 1995, before subsequent importation into the United Kingdom; an appraisal of both the tipo, and this car, appeared in 2013 in the EVO publication and online - described by the car’s then owner and editor of the magazine, Harry Metcalfe.

Recently inspected and serviced by one of the UK’s foremost marque specialists, with wheels refurbished concurrently; this is an excellent opportunity to purchase a very well documented, superb example of the highly-acclaimed, limited production, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evolution II.
