Vehicle Overview
The Pininfarina-styled 308 GTB was first introduced at the 1975 Paris Salon, as a supplement to the Bertone-shaped Dino 308 GT4, and a replacement for the Dino 246. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who had been responsible for, amongst others - the Daytona, Dino and Berlinetta Boxer; the 308 used elements of these shapes to create something very much in contrast with the angular GT4 2+2. The GTB was a two-seater with sweeping curves and aggressive lines, and thanks to its regular TV appearances in GTS-guise, driven by US-actor Tom Selleck as “Magnum P.I”, it became one of the most instantly recognisable Ferrari road cars of the eighties.
Ordered by Dick Lovett (Specialist Cars) Limited via UK importer Maranello Concessionaires Limited on order no #F/071, dated 18/5/76. #19641 was specified with a Rosso chiaro (20-R-190) exterior, a Nero (VM8500) leather interior, aerial and speakers.
Dispatched from Maranello on 2/7/76, as one of just one hundred-and-fifty-four, RHD 308 GTB Fibreglass, delivered to global markets, from an approximate total production of seven-hundred-and-twelve examples (first chassis #18677 and last #21289)

12/1/86 sold to F.Cliffe Esq, Yorkshire formerly Proprietor of Cliffe Motors, now Cawthorne Carriage Company and purchased by L.Peacock Esq Kent, with an odometer reading of 28,600. Retained for more than nineteen years.
