Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina S.p.A. - the 2.9 litre, rear-engined, V8 powered, Ferrari 308GTB QV, debuted at the 1982 Paris Salon - as the final iteration of the very popular 308-series, produced in Maranello, between 1975 and 1985. With twelve thousand, one hundred and forty-nine examples delivered to global markets, the popularity and usability of the QV(Quattrovalvole) and its six siblings, ensure that almost twenty-nine years on, it remains one of Ferrari S.p.A.'s most collectible, mid-engined sportscars. With just seventy-four right-hand-drive QV's delivered to the UK; this is a very rare opportunity, to acquire an exceptionally low mileage, much cherished example, from the last six months of production.
Delivered new to the then Ferrari main-dealer, Glen Henderson Motors Limited of Ayr, on August 8th 1985 and registered C252FSJ - # ZFFLA12C000057473's first owner was Gordon Tourlamain Esq of Helensburgh, Glasgow.
#57473 was ordered with a rosso corsa exterior, complemented by a black leather interior including red piping to the seating, and red carpets.
